The Coolidge School Library Pageant in Lansing, Illinois, was my first spoken word gig. I was in fourth grade. Since then, I've earned a B.A. in Speech & Theatre Education (Purdue) an M.A. in Oral Interpretation of Literature (Northwestern). I taught high school in Illinois, spent a few years in PR, worked 10 years for Lexis/Nexis, married Rick Beyer with whom I raised two great and talented kids, had my dream job at WUMB-FM in Boston, do VO announcements for WGBH-FM, and am full-time PR director at Perkins School for the Blind where Helen Keller went to school.
Since 1991, I've done video acting and voice overs. Find me on Voice123.com. Still, the poet and short story lover in me keeps popping out. I'm giving her room to grow. My own writing sort of "happens" to me. At the occasional coffee house or cafe, I expound on my simple little life. Come find me and we'll see what our voices have in common.
