The Coolidge School Library Pageant in Lansing, Illinois, was my first spoken word gig. I was in fourth grade.
In the meantime, I earned a B.A. in Speech & Theatre Education (Purdue) and a Master's in Oral Interpretation of Literature (Northwestern). I taught high school in Illinois, spent two years in PR, worked 10 years for Lexis/Nexis, married Rick Beyer with whom I raised two great and talented kids, had my dream job at WUMB-FM in Boston, enjoyed 10 years as PR director at Perkins School for the Blind, now do staff announcing for WGBH-FM, and teach college-level writing. I'm often seen at poetry nights and story slams in the Boston area.
I've done video acting and VO work since 1991 and just began recording audiobooks. Hear demos on Voice123.com and at Audible's ACX. Come find me.
Let's see what our voices
have in common.
