My first spoken word gig was at Calvin Coolidge School in Lansing, Illinois.
I was in 4th grade.
In the meantime, I earned a B.A. in Speech & Theatre Education (Purdue) and a Master's in Oral Interpretation of Literature (Northwestern). I taught high school in Illinois, spent two years in PR, worked 10 years for Lexis/Nexis, married Rick Beyer with whom I raised two great and talented kids, had my dream job at WUMB-FM in Boston, enjoyed 10 years as PR director at Perkins School for the Blind, taught college-level writing and do staff announcing for WGBH-FM
. I've performed my poems and stories in the Boston area.
A voice and video actor since 1991, I just began recording audiobooks. ACX here.
